MY STORYI’m an award winning ambitious and self motivated pharmacist with the necessary skill set to deliver and maximise growth. Having been a pharmacist for nearly a decade, my roles have varied from branch manager to managing 50 members of staff to developing an online education portal for students, ensuring compliance, standards as well as health and safety are met at all times, helping to deliver patient care at a high standard.
My business acumen was something that was not taught at university but was rather awakened by a challenging line manager, who to this day is a mentor for me. I do not shy away from challenges but rather meet them head on. My corporate career was growing strength to strength each year, with multiple titles to my name, managing more than 50 members of staff. So with all this sounding so wonderful why did I leave? My career change came about with multiple things happening at once. I gave birth to my first child, but also saw the values that i worked for and striven for were no matched by the corporate world. So, I set out on a journey of self development, following my passion for learning and development. Leading to my TRIPLE approach to cover the whole profession 1. Student development- having conducted many tragic interviews due to lack of experience in key life skills and competencies. I took on the mission to get this addressed, to have students develop a diverse portfolio and have their CV stand out- increasing their opportunities for ORIEL and pre-reg placements 2. Business coaching- as a profession we are in a paradigm shift, in a state of stress and increasing pressure to deliver in align with patients evolving needs of expectations I help pharmacies deliver and grow their businesses in such hard times- helping to reignite that passion behind the WHY. My love for coaching and leadership has enabled me to mold many pharmacists to be the best that they can be in our ever evolving world of pharmacy. 3. Digital Innovation- combining technology with healthcare service to increase the use of our clinical expertise. We are main port of call for patients....we have the expertise so let's get using it! I want to bring pharmacy up to date and compliant in our services that we provide to the public so you know that you are doing the best that you can to serve your customers, to change their view of what pharmacists do and to hopefully change the way the government see us too. |
